by Dirty Money: This video premiered when I was in Philly last week and I didn’t get a chance to watch until I got back. Yall know I love me some Diddy, but I’m still confused on Dirty Money as a whole. If Diddy and Dawn from Danity Kane wanted to make a group, that’s all that needed to happen. Or if Diddy wanted to have Dawn solo, I could have understood that too. I’m trying to figure out the purpose of the third member – Kalenna. She needs to be told three’s a crowd…boo!
Anyways, this song is a straight club banger. Definitely won’t be listening to it past August, but we can enjoy it now. The video is hot too. There are a lot of bells and whistles with a helicopter and Diddy driving around in a banging Bugatti. I’m happy to see T.I. back in the scene because without him and Ricky Ross on the track, it would be straight whack! I hope Dirty Money’s album, Last Train to Paris, which is set to release on June 29 has a good mix of tracks besides this and Love Come Down. If not, my suggestion is that the train doesn’t leave the station and try to make it to no where!
I have seen Diddy lend his vocals to his artists’ tracks, with the most recent being Day 26’s Imma a Put it On Her. I previously posted this song, but now that the video has premiered that features a remix, I want to share my opinion of Diddy’s singing. Or, should I say his attempt to sing/rap/perform. Years ago, when Diddy was alongside Biggie and Mase, Diddy could rap and he presented himself as a somewhat talented artist. Now…not so much! It seems like he did a complete 360 and not in a good way. I consider myself a Diddy fan, his number one supporter, and I will always respect his hustle. However, I can not deny that Diddy was a better performer during his early career. I would like for you to watch these two videos to compare his performances and listen closely to his lyrics. In the most recent, it sounds as though he hesitates in a search to find the beat. I’m starting to think that Puffy/Puff Daddy may have taken the lead as performer while P. Diddy/Diddy wins the title of businessman. You be the judge!
This man is the definition of a true hustler! The season first started a few weeks ago when he debuted a new show on VH1 entitled I Want to Work for Diddy! He got me! I can’t even lie. I love these reality shows. Then, hop on over to MTV and there is Making The Band 4 with Day 26 and Danity Kane. These groups are about to go on tour for 6 weeks = MORE money in the bank! Oh, I almost forgot about the solo member of Making the Band 4 – Donnie. I saw his new video the other day and guess who the featured artist is? You got it, Diddy! Not to mention, the track is wiggity wiggity whack! Cassie also debuted a new track, Official Girl, which features Lil’ Wayne and her attire in the video is H-O-T!
