Seems as though my Labor Day weekend did not provide the opportunity for me to write more posts! Sadly, relaxing during the weekend slowed me down from my normal pace of writing and now it’s time for me to ‘Get Up’. I have about 20 ideas crammed in this head of mine and I’m finally back to writing Even if the content is old, there are a few posts that I want to release from my head starting with this song…by Q-Tip: The track is a sample of Black Ivory’s You and I and I absolutely love it! This song is just what we need: feel good music and not a song about shooting the person down the street or how much money someone is about to spend. Being that I was barely crawling when A Tribe Called Quest was formed, I missed the creation of great music that was formed by these artists. I’m glad Q-Tip continues to carry the history of his group into the future and create real hip-hop. His long awaited LP, The Renaissance, will be released on Election Day! That’s November 4th for all my readers 17.5+. Sidenote: Find someone who isn’t registered to vote and take them to get registered.
