by Ly$$i: This is the latest and greatest from Luam. This song is straight fire! It really makes me want to get up and dance. With the weather changing, this track is sure to be added to a mixtape so it can be blasted with my top back! The choreography is on point as always! It’s cool that the two guys in front adapted the moves to their own style. But, there is something about Luam that makes her the center of attention. She dances with so much heart and can stand alone by herself. Watching the other dancers as though they were solo, I question what they are doing and if they can feel the music. So – I choose to stick with Luam.

Freakum Dress + Luam

I checked in with Luam’s YouTube page to get the latest and greatest in her choreography. I’ve been slipping because I have clearly missed 3 videos being uploaded! This is the first and I didn’t get past this one to see the rest. This video is a great portrayal of how Luam brings all different races, sexes, and ethnicities together all for the love of music + dance. The choreography is on point as always but the song choice literally made me get up out of my seat and dance. I hadn’t heard Freakum Dress in a hot minute. The choreography made me want to put on my heels and parade around the house – minus the freakum dress…I’ll leave that for my weekend outing.

Raindrops + Luam

by Jeremih: This is a video from my girl Luam. The video is a little different than her normal videos in that the dancers are all guys. I barely noticed because Luam makes it hard to focus on anything besides her in the center. She constantly kills it! The choreography when “salute” is said around :24 and when the beat drops around :32 made me want to get up out of my chair and dance. You’ll be happy to know I saved myself from embarrassment and refrained from doing so.

Say (All I Need) + Luam

After ONE MONTH, Luam finally posted a new video today!!! There are some choreographers who can dance in one style very well. Some are a beast at hip-hop. Others prefer jazz. But Luam continues to surpass the rest. She can perform and choreograph across all styles and genres of music. Take this track, All I Need, by One Republic, which is a pop rock band. I know it is so, oh so, hard to choreograph a slow song. Yet, she kills it! I love the choreography, but I especially love when the chorus begins and each dancer goes his or her own way as they let the music take over their body.

So Good & Imma Put It On Her

I LOVE THURSDAYS! All of my shows have ended for the season and Making the Band is the only show left! In anticipation for the show, I only listened to two songs today at work and they were both by Day 26. S-O-G-double-O-D is that jam and I figured Willie must have won the battle with Que to record more slow jams. However, So Good is not the first single. Imma Put It On Her is the first single and it appears that Que may have won the battle to record a few fast tracks. When I first heard Imma Put It On Her as the new intro to MTB, I was not really feeling the track. But now, I realize that I was so wrong! The track is hot! I definitely prefer the original version, as Jeezy and Diddy did not have to get on the track to make me like it. Actually, their remix version is horrible! I’m sure you will agree.
Oh, and did you watch tonight’s episode of MTB? If you watched and saw Dawn and Que walking with someone after Que found out his mom was coming to visit, that’s LUAM!!! You know…the choreographer whose videos I feature on 6iv because I believe she is the best dancer out there! **A new video from Luam will be posted tomorrow** I assume Que is taking dance lessons from her. Good move Que. Right now I can only wish I can take lessons from her…One day I will.

I have been watching a choreographer named Luam for some time now and I tell you this chick is a beast! I have vowed that when I am a millionaire I will be moving to NY for a few months to take dance lessons from her. They may be private at first because my body definitely can not move like this! Luam will have to teach me some basics before I am thrown in a class with these professionals. She has had experience choreographing routines for Kelis, Kanye West, Nelly Furtado, Rihanna, and numerous more. Trust me when I say you have seen her work. I want to start a new series that will showcase Luam’s dance moves for those who have never heard of her. She also uses some dope tracks that are usually new releases as music for her routines. This particular routine provides visual expression for M.I.M.S’ track Move If U Wanna Move. I’m sure mixing music+dance will be a hit on 6iv.
