www.LUAM.net

I have been watching a choreographer named Luam for some time now and I tell you this chick is a beast! I have vowed that when I am a millionaire I will be moving to NY for a few months to take dance lessons from her. They may be private at first because my body definitely can not move like this! Luam will have to teach me some basics before I am thrown in a class with these professionals. She has had experience choreographing routines for Kelis, Kanye West, Nelly Furtado, Rihanna, and numerous more. Trust me when I say you have seen her work. I want to start a new series that will showcase Luam’s dance moves for those who have never heard of her. She also uses some dope tracks that are usually new releases as music for her routines. This particular routine provides visual expression for M.I.M.S’ track Move If U Wanna Move. I’m sure mixing music+dance will be a hit on 6iv.

Danity Kane

I know I can’t be the only one still in awe about Danity Kane breaking up. They are one of the few groups that were created on television that made it! More importantly, they were one of VERY few groups that were created on television that had great tunes. Both albums, Danity Kane and Welcome to the Dollhouse, went platinum and the group was continuously successful. I know Diddy was hurtin by the outcome of the group’s breakup and he let them know who was BOSS – not Rick Ross! He let all their success come to an end quick! In my opinion, Aubrey ruined it for everyone! This chick has posed for Playboy and Diddy peeped her intentions from the start. Everybody thought Mr. Combs was being mean and pointing fingers at Aubrey. Yea, he was. But that is only because she deserved it. This post isn’t to put Aubrey on blast, but to remind everyone to watch Making the Band on Thursdays @ 9pm as this is the last chance to see the remaining group members together as Diddy dismantles the group. Danity Kane was a great first album and Welcome to the Dollhouse accurately displayed the group’s maturity into an older sound. I was looking forward to a third album and I am hurt that the album will never come to form :( What are the girls of Danity Kane going to do now that they aren’t members of the group? Aubrey is in Playboy and Dawn is rumored to be signed as a solo artist. What about the rest???

Die Without You

by P.M. Dawn: I have been ghost on my blog for a few weeks now. That is only because my writing efforts have been spent elsewhere. I am writing a book and I have created a very tight deadline to complete this masterpiece of mine. While writing, I listen to music for inspiration and get my mind in the mood to parallel the greatness that needs to be typed. Since my book is on relationships, love, and the previous lack thereof, I choose to listen to slow passionate songs. Today’s post reflects a song that I listened to last night. This is also one of my favorite songs. If you listen to this song and think it sounds familiar. You are correct! This track is off the Boomerang soundtrack and always makes me get teary-eyed when I watch the movie. It is played towards the end of the movie when Eddie Murphy’s character, Marcus, sees an advertisement on the side of the city bus created by Halle Berry’s character, Angela. The movie then illustrates two students whom Angela was a mentor for as they go visit her, on behalf of Marcus, to win her back. So sweet! Clearly, in my mind this song provides an emotion tie beyond the words sung -as most great songs try to accomplish.
